Kernersville, with a population just shy of 25,000 residents, truly is the heart of the Triad, located halfway between Winston-Salem and Greensboro with close proximity to from I-40, in Forsyth County. Residents enjoy a community with a rural feel, yet so close to conveniences found in larger cities, including less than 10 miles to Piedmont Triad International Airport.

The historic downtown area is the centerpiece of the town including many structures on the National Register of Historic Places. Two of the most popular are the Railroad Depot built originally in 1873 and Korners Folly, an eclectic home from the late 19th century, both offering a glimpse of life in Kernersville in the late 19th century.
