In 1975, Carolina Raptor Center was born as its first raptor rehabilitation patient was taken in. Since then, over 25,000 birds have been rehabilitated and nearly 20,000 guests visit each year to learn more about our feathered friends. The Raptor Trail, a three-quarter-mile trail and zoological facility feature many opportunities to view nearly 30 birds of prey and learn how they are an important part of the ecosystem and conservation efforts in North Carolina.
