The canal currently has three boat lifts and added a 195-acre park in 1989 where the Stony Landing House now sits. Cypress Gardens is a 170-acre preserve, created in 1932, and features swamp lands, swamp boat rides, gardens, a butterfly house, a swamparium, event spaces, nature trails, and more!
