Covering about 17 miles of its northern shoreline, Lake Norman State Park includes Park Lake, which is separated from the larger lake by a dam. This separation means the park can offer quiet fishing and swimming to its visitors.

There are many options when it comes to restaurants on Lake Norman, but we’d recommend one with a lakefront view. Take your pick between the trendy and nautical-themed Hello, Sailor or North Harbor Club with its fine cuisine and watercrafts mounted from the ceilings. Visit any of these restaurants by car or by boat and watch the sunset over Lake Norman.

One of our favorites is Birkdale Village – with stores like Apple, Anthropologie, Barnes & Noble, Paint Nail Bar, Pure Barre, Regal Cinemas, Sephora, and Warby Parker, you have all your shopping needs and more covered.
