Have you heard? The online giant, Amazon, plans to bring a new distribution center to Kannapolis, NC. The new $85 million distribution center will bring over 600 jobs to the area and plans to open its doors in 2019.
The continuously growing company set out plans in January to hire over 100,000 people across the U.S. and it looks like they are going to do just that. They have already opened numerous distribution facilities throughout the country including Illinois, California, Georgia, Florida, Colorado, and more.
Amazon states that in North Carolina alone there are more than 60,000 authors, sellers, and developers in the state that are growing their businesses and selling on Amazon. Not to mention the already 2,000 people who are currently employed by the company full-time in the state.
Luckily, our Kellswater Bridge community is conveniently located only a few miles away from where the new Amazon facility plans to open in 2019. The Kellswater Community also offers residents easy access to Charlotte Motor Speedway, Concord Mills, Afton Village, Wineries and more!
