5 Laundry Room Hacks That Are Gorgeous & Efficient

August 04, 2017

Dull, boring, and cluttered laundry rooms are a thing of the past! Have you ever walked into a friend’s home and been completely jealous of their forward-thinking layout and beautifully designed laundry room? Well, we’re here to help! These 5 easy tips are sure to make your laundry room go from drag to fab.

Shelving- So simple, yet so efficient. Organization is the key to getting things done fast and if you’re like us, you’re always looking for new ways to be more organized! In our laundry rooms, we like to introduce a variety of unique shelving options that fit our personal style. Wood, metal, floating, or standing shelving units are all great to keep your laundry room clean and chic while giving you optimal storage options.

Baskets & Labels- Put your supplies in baskets and bins to ensure that everything is where it needs to be. The ease of knowing where your Tide Pods, stain remover, dry sheets, etc. are, will make your time fly in the laundry room. Because really- who wants to spend more time in the laundry room then you need to be?

Clothing Rack- Instead of using a drying rack that you have to fold/unfold every time you do a load of laundry, build in a simple clothes hanger using a shower curtain rod or clothes line. This looks neat and allows you to air dry your delicates without the chance of ruining them.

Color Organizer- Never accidentally throw your red blouse in with your whites again! Use 3 laundry bins to separate your white, dark, and colored loads and you’re all set. To keep your space clutter free, hide your bins inside your cabinets!

Folding Stations- If you have a folding station in your laundry room, then your life has become much easier! Most of us will admit that folding our laundry is the worst part of the chore. With a folding station, the hassle goes away! Right where you are, fold your finished laundry and then put it away. On the left, we’ve included a photo of the laundry room in our Charleston plan! We love the designer granite- and let’s be honest, with a laundry room like this, who wouldn’t want to wash clothes? Tight on space? Use a foldable shelf to put up when you're working and fold when you're not.

Make friends and neighbors swoon when they walk into your home with sleek designs by ensuring you utilize all the space provided in your home! Whether you use a shelving system, or a luxurious folding station, you deserve to personalize your new laundry room to fit all your personal needs!
