It is the season of traditions. As the leaves fall and the air chills, we find ourselves decorating our homes and our front porches for the festivities that are upon us. This time of year lends itself to gorgeous, natural ornamentation for our homes, and we at Eastwood Homes find ourselves falling in love with that fall décor year after year!
This year, we want to celebrate the love of fall (and all the beautiful decorations that go with it) with a photo contest and cash prize for you! We’re asking you to show us your season décor with our “Fallin’ for Front Porches” photo contest! This front porch decorating contest has a grand prize of $250!
Simply submit a photo of your front porch to our contest tab on our Eastwood Homes Facebook page. The five photo submissions with the most votes will be entered into a drawing for a Visa gift card of $250! On top of that, the first 10 photo submissions get a $5 Starbucks gift card! The contest runs through Nov. 20, so snap a picture, upload it to the contest page, and then share with your friends to get the most votes!
Because we love fall so much, we have a Pinterest board devoted to this special season. There are several ideas and tips for decorating your front porch. Some of our favorite fall pins include those for door décor such as wreaths. These pins include instructions on how to DIY your way to an ensemble of leaves, twigs and pinecones that will welcome all your guests to your home this season. We’ve also got everything you need to know about decorating with pumpkins, such as painting pumpkins, or glitzing pumpkins up with gold beads. You can even use your pumpkin as a flower pot for you mums. And every fall porch needs a pot of mums!
We can’t wait to see your fabulous fall porches! Be sure to share this contest and your submissions with your friends!
Some tips to prepare for rains, flooding, and high winds and keep your family and home safe during predicted storms.
It makes sense that, being in the business of “home sweet home,” we would appreciate the fall season. This is the time when we decorate our front stoops and porches with pumpkins, wreaths of orange and red, and a few dried corn stalks to welcome our guests. This is the time of year when we start baking hearty soups and cuddle up on the couch on a Saturday afternoon to watch our favorite college football team. Now that we’ve escaped the sweltering heat, we can now invite our friends over for a fire in our built-in outdoor living area. This is the season when we invite our entire family and maybe even some close friends to give thanks in our home while we feast on turkey and mashed potatoes. We love fall.
